What is the PROP Shop?
The PROP Shop is an exciting resale store
serving the southwest suburbs. The store is
full of quality clothing, household items and
furniture. The PROP Shop is a nonprofit store,
fully supported and staffed by enthusiastic
and helpful volunteers. Find about more about our staff and board.
Our purpose is to sell donated clothing, housewares and furniture to the public, donating proceeds to the local emergency services organization and food shelf (PROP, People Reaching Out to Other People, Eden Prairie, Minnesota). Clothing, household items and furniture are
available to families in need by referral
through human services organizations. Items in the store are also provided free of charge to families in need through dignity, volunteerism and community collaboration.
Open to the public, the PROP Shop is a terrific
place to find great bargains and treasures for
your home.
Is this duplicating existing services?
No. PROP needs more space for food at its
existing site at the Eden Prairie City Center.
The Children's Clothing Closet will close at PROP.
Families will be directed to the PROP Shop for
clothing, furniture and household goods.
PROP will continue to support and refer clients
to Bridging, Inc. Clients who are not eligible for
furniture through Bridging will be referred to
the PROP Shop.
Why a Nonprofit Resale Store?
Many families have clothing, household items
and furniture they want to give away. Other
families have a need for these items. The PROP
Shop provides the perfect place to make this
happen!
Giving Back to the Community
Proceeds above general operating costs will
help provide financial support for PROP (People Reaching Out to Other People), a food
shelf and emergency services provider serving
the cities of Eden Prairie and Chanhassen.
The store provides service opportunities for
adults and teens who want to volunteer and
become more involved in the community.
